LGS Coyotes Youth Spring Hockey

  • Based in the Greater Vancouver area, the LGS Coyotes Spring Hockey program is built to help youth players learn hockey skills, knowledge, tactics and strategies that are sometimes forgotten in youth hockey curriculum.
  • U11 & U13 (2013 & 2014 birth years) Teams for 2024 Season.
  • Program runs from April – June.
  • Open to both Rec & Rep level players looking to take next step in hockey development.
  • Experienced LGS coaches work with players in ratios of 6-8:1 for individual skill development
  • Our coaches focus on catching players doing things right to facilitate positive reinforcement.
  • We value FUN above all else!

Program Outline

  • 1 x 2 hour on-ice practice time each week (to reduce commute times and free up schedules) (sessions mainly out of Richmond Olympic Oval).
  • Weekend games in YHL. Here for more info on YHL.
  • 1-2 Tournaments per season.
  • Full access to How to Play Hockey curriculum.
  • Game & Practice Jerseys included in registration.
  • Additional team merch available.

Nate Leslie

Exec director / founder

Founder of Leslie Global Sports. Certified Executive Coach (PCC, CEC, M.Ed.). Educator. Leadership Trainer. Former Professional Hockey Player.  Responsible for vision, philosophy, strategy, & coach development at LGS.

Bryant Hsiao

Lead Coach / Coordinator

Skills Development Coach. Fluent in Mandarin and English. Former Professional Player and member of Team Chinese Taipei , IIHF DIV III.  Patient, calm and a highly skilled player capable of breaking skills down into smaller chunks for players to learn.

Longtime LGS athlete turned coach! Currently coaching U11A, U13A, and Richmond Oval Hockey Club. Strong passion for teaching the game and building strong relationships with his athletes.

Celine Tardif

Celine Tardif

Coach

Former Professional & Collegiate athlete. Played 4 pro seasons in Sweden in the SDHL and spent 5 seasons with University of British Columbia (USports). Was UBC T-birds Captain in senior season. Holds a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology Degree.

Emily Costales

Emily Costales

Coach

Emily is a household name in BC female hockey. Her playing experience includes KRS Vanke Rays (Russia), Shenzhen Kunlun Red Star HC (China), Syracuse University (NCAA I), & University of British Columbia (USports). Emily is a Faculty of Education student training to be a teacher.
