With crossovers I want you to think about pushing the ice away from you, like rolling out pizza dough. Don’t chop off the edges, or you are wasting your time and energy.

As you are skating you want to make sure your bum is down low to the waist, knees to the waist, deep knee bend and that your feet are pushing out towards the outside of the circle, not slipping up behind you like this so that you gain momentum speed. Your upper body is rotated in the direction you are going and your head turns that way, too. If your head and shoulder turn, your body will follow. Keep your upper body twisted and above your hips instead of leaning in where gravity can pull you down towards the ice. That way you get extra speed from triple around the circle.
