Roofing the puck in tight and getting it upstairs on the goalie is a great skill to obtain and one that all high end goal scorers have.

How to:

Open up your hands, using the blade and try to dig a hole in the ice about an inch before the puck and follow through and go up before the cross bar.  

 

This is a great drill for working on getting the puck upstairs in a hurry. Imagine digging that hole in the ice like mentioned above, and be sure to get that follow through towards the cross bar in a hurry. I miss one shot at the end of this clip, and I apologize.
