THE ICE AT THE END OF THE EARTH

Thank you to so many of you for the incredible support for the Mongolia Project.

Ice holds 2 months less than 10 years ago due to climate change.

Here we come!

HIGHLIGHTS:

  1. The NHLPA has just stepped up to send 25 full sets of gear from their Goals for Dreams Foundation.  Thank you!
  2. 8 year old Hudson Akarlilar from New York City raised $2500 to purchase and collect gear, and he just shipped 500 POUNDS of equipment to Mongolia this week.  He and his mother will be joining us in Mongolia to see the fruits of his incredible labour.
  3. Boe and My connecting flight from Beijing to Ulan Bator has been cancelled, and in likely classic Mongolian Airline fashion, we still don’t know if we will have a 4, or 53 hour layover in Beijing.  I guess we will have to wait and see (they SAID they’d call)!
  4. With temperatures warming in the city, our group on the ground in Mongolia has arranged for us to coach on rinks 3-500km from the city.  We are very excited about the chance to share the game in more remote villages, and see more of the country.
We are back March 4th, and I have a feeling we will have a few good stories for the documentary.

Sincerely,

Nate & Boe Leslie
