So we really are coaching. Thursday night was another club night, with two groups of local kids, followed by a practice with the Southern Stampede. Due to adrenaline coursing through my veins, and lactic acid meandering through my legs, today’s post will be of the visual variety. The following photos and video finale will take you through the past 48 hours:
- Thursday morning: A 5 hour hike up local mountain with Stampede Stalwart Mike Sommers: Mount Ben Lomond
- Thursday evening: Club night with the local youth teams
- Friday: A couple of brilliant ideas: Shotover Jet: Racing 80km/hr down rapids under 500 horse power jet boats
- Friday Cont’d: Shotover Canyon Swing: Jumping off cliffs 109m high not once, but twice. (Batteries died when Boe and I jumped tandem.)
- An early night after an emotional rollercoaster

Boe and I would like to say a huge thank you to Shotover Jet and Shotover Canyon Swing for making today incredible. And of course thanks to Andy and Scott for hooking it all up. Our gratitude is endless…
And the best/worst decision of the day … Shotover Canyon Swing…
